People Operations Specialist

COMPANY OVERVIEW

LaunchBoom has transformed how products are launched online. We've created an innovative product launch system that acquires customers extremely quickly while vastly mitigating risk for entrepreneurs. Our system is broken down into three phases:

Phase 1: TestBoom

Through TestBoom, we are able to quantify the probability of a successful product launch. We do this by driving traffic to a marketing funnel we build for our clients and plugging the metrics into our predictive model.

Phase 2: LaunchBoom

Products that pass TestBoom, automatically go to our LaunchBoom program. During LaunchBoom, our team is primarily focused on building a pre-launch email list before the crowdfunding campaign launches. We use this community to have a "LaunchBoom" which means to hit your crowdfunding goal within the first day. A successful LaunchBoom program will yield 6 and 7 figure crowdfunding campaigns in the course of a few months.

Phase 3: ScaleBoom

Once a campaign is successful through LaunchBoom, we take the best products into our ScaleBoom program. Our team is now the experts at marketing the products and we use our knowledge to scale their brand through ecommerce.

JOB SUMMARY

This year, LaunchBoom has experienced a lot of growth and we don't plan on slowing down. As a remote team, we now have 41 team members around the world. We understand the importance of taking care of our people, which is why we need someone to fill this new role. If you're a good fit, you'll view this as an exciting challenge and opportunity to own.

As the People Operations Specialist, you are responsible for recruiting top talent, ensuring high employee happiness, and increasing the retention of A-players at LaunchBoom. In addition, you'll be responsible for on-time invoicing, accounts receivables, and payroll.

This role reports directly to the CEO.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Recruiting & Hiring

Write and create all new job postings
Identify prime candidates for recruitment using LinkedIn and perform outreach
Manage our Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
Work with Directors to set up applicant scorecard systems to assess competencies needed for role
Conduct initial screening interviews
Ensure applicants have a best-in-class interview experience
Send offer letters and communicate with prospective new hires
Evolve and systematize the recruiting and hiring process

HR / People Operations

Support employees and managers across the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding/offboarding, employment policies, benefits and payroll
Lead and ensure team programs and processes are being executed on such as performance/compensation review cycles and employee experience surveys
Plan regular events for team to stay connected as a remote team
Respond to employee inquiries
Support diversity, equity and inclusion work
Manage team and careers pages
Ensure LaunchBoom is up to date with all compliance policies
Evolve and systematize the People Operations infrastructure

Finance Operations

On-time invoicing
Accounts receivable follow up
Tracking and calculation of commission payment for all employees
Running payroll for all W2 and contracted team members every two weeks
Evolve and systematize the Finance Operations infrastructure

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate will:
Have impeccable time management skills and excel in fast paced environments
Have incredibly high attention to detail
Be highly motivated for continuous improvement in process and people systems
Enjoy turning problems into opportunities
Be an excellent communicator with high empathy

Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years' experience within HR or People Operations
Knowledgeable of compliance policies and procedures and understanding of employment laws and regulations
Strong communication skills with demonstrated abilities to influence and collaborate
Flexibility able to change priorities and juggle between long-term projects and the day-to-day tasks
Strong relationship building and interpersonal skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle highly sensitive information
A passion/obsession for creating systems
