We are currently looking to add a Staffing Specialist to our Birmingham, AL branch!

The Staffing Specialist is responsible for interfacing with Malone customers to determine staffing needs, recruiting and interviewing applicants to determine skill and proper fit for temporary assignments, onboarding new associates, assisting with payroll and reporting as well as conducting background and drug screens. This is a full-time position working Monday-Friday, 8a-5p.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting - processing multiple excel reports for various functions as well as cross referencing to insure 100% accuracy

Recruit, screen, test, interview, and evaluate applicants for assignments

Place candidates on temporary assignments in a timely manner

Retrieve and process job orders from clients

Enter, update, and maintain personnel records in the employee database

Coordinate orientations, drug screens, reference and background checks

Perform various administrative duties (file, fax, copy, etc.)

Complete new hire paperwork in compliance with Federal/State requirements

Other duties as assigned

The Qualifications

Previous experience in staffing preferred, but not required

Previous payroll and reporting experience a

PLUS

Ability to multi-task with strong organizational skills and high attention to detail

Strong customer service skills

Must have a strong sense of urgency

Ability to work and communicate well with employees at all levels

Excellent phone skills and a business professional attitude

Computer proficiency, particularly with Excel, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Outlook

Flexibility to work at offsite locations
