HR Services Specialist - Advanced Data Services

HR Services is critical to the overall effectiveness of the HR experience across Microsoft. HR Services brings the HR support model and experience to the scale of the global Microsoft employee population by providing the platform for end-to-end operational services and employee experiences with responsibilities spanning employee self-service, assisted support, and employee relations. HR Services is responsible for the operational delivery across a broad range of employee life-cycle experiences such as onboarding, performance and development rewards, talent movement and offboarding. As the catalyst for HR digital transformation, HR Services is also leading the Human Capital Management solution strategy with the global launch of our new HR Core Solution. HR Services holds the key accountability for HR privacy, risk and compliance.

The HR Services Specialist is an integral member of the HR Services organization and plays a key role in the delivery of high quality HR Programs to business leaders, managers and employees, as well as to the HR Community. This role will be responsible for working with HR Services, Center of Excellence (CoE) programs and external partners to develop, design, implement and ensure scalability of integrated service management processes, solutions and delivery for highly specialized and non-scalable services in line with applicable policies, procedures, laws and standards. The HR Services Specialist will advise on the administration of current HR programs and recommend solutions to resolve global data integrity challenges or to ensure success of an initiative that may not align to tools or processes.

This role requires a problem-solving, programmatic approach to drive consistency in processes and services aligned to Functional and Local policies to exceed performance expectations. Consulting on translating programs into a delivery solution requires a mixture of scalable delivery management models working collaboratively across geographies and functions, and use of metrics and voice of the customer framework to identify trends and improvement opportunity areas. The successful candidate will demonstrate effective project management skills, communication skills to align team around strategy and goals, excellent stakeholder engagement skills, a high level of attention to detail, passion for continuous improvement, and will role-model Microsoft values and behaviors, as well as those of the team.

Designs and implements compliant processes for specialized and non-scalable processes in partnership with HR Services Architect and key stakeholders while considering end to end impacts. Accountable for readiness of these changes
Aligns to KPIs and sets up Service Level Agreements with stakeholders where appropriate
Analyzes data, communicates, and engages with stakeholders to prioritize and act on resolving data integrity issues and opportunities for continuous improvement
Ensures procedure and controls documentation is effective and in place at all times for area of responsibility. Business continuity and disaster recovery plans are maintained and followed
Responsible for establishing and maintaining an employee-oriented culture that continuously strives to resolve customer needs on first point of contact and evangelize self-service offerings
Responsible for providing inputs for and representing as needed in quarterly business result report meetings
Owns and drives our accountabilities for certain annual HR ROB programs, with the support of the HR Services and HR Consulting teams
Accountable for data privacy and security
Drive assigned initiatives using project management skills as either the leader or active participant

Required/Minimum Qualifications

5+ years of experience in Human Resources, Customer Support or related field OR 3+ years of experience in Operations, Customer Support, Human Resources or related field with Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or related field

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) with active listening and precision questioning and answering skills
Fluent English language skills
Two to three years of project management experience, including leveraging a standard project management methodology to produce successful project outcomes. Working knowledge of PMBOK is a plus.
Proven experience in managing complex HR processes, being able to problem solve and identify scalable solution
Ability to maintain highly confidential and sensitive information
A grasp of HR/business process technologies used in optimization is considered an advantage
Ability to develop and maintain end to end processes, desk top procedures and controls documentation
Possess initiative and drive with strong desire to continuously improve processes and deliver against agreed to objectives/ service levels
Must be curious and a solution seeker who may need to operate outside of own comfort area
Ability to make decisions that impact customer service levels and data integrity with a sense of urgency
Highly collaborative and networking
Demonstrated experience in business process mapping, business requirements design and participating in end user acceptance testing
A strong drive for results and ability to work through conflict and ambiguity
Ability to manage diverse perspectives and work productively across a global team in a rapidly changing environment
Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent work experience
