The HR & Operations Director is responsible for ensuring that employees and management are aligned with all business operations and objectives within the practice and that all people-related initiatives are in support of the practice’s vision and growth goals.
With the practice’s leadership team, the HR & Operations Director administers day-to-day operating activities, assessing needs and implementing business systems and organizational improvements including: oversight of personnel and office culture, systems and patient flow operations, compliance and risk analysis, change management initiatives, meeting structure, facilities and community involvement.
The HR & Operations Director will help optimize strategic and tactical operations in the practice and participate in all short- and long-term planning focusing on talent growth and development needs for the practice.
The HR Director is also responsible for managing all functions relating to people: including recruiting, hiring, performance reviews and performance improvement planning. The Director ensures equal employment opportunity and oversees payroll systems and staff training and development.
§ Adheres to budget and strategic practice goals. Works with the staff and leadership to implement short-term and long-range planning. Supports the development and administration of programs, procedures, and guidelines to help align the workforce with strategic goals.
§ Oversees talent and organizational assessment, creating the right infrastructure and culture that drives collaboration and strengthens functional interaction and excellence, developing succession plans and development paths for key positions, putting plans in place to hire key talent to fill gaps, and crafting and rolling out communication strategies and implementation plans.
§ Creates job descriptions, partnering with leaders to ensure consistent pay practices.
§ Provide coaching and consultation and support on leadership and organizational development, change management and employee engagement.
§ Manage the delivery of companywide programs such as merit review and bonus planning; monitors culture to support the attainment of such goals to promote employee engagement and satisfaction.
§ Conform to standards of performance and conduct, including those pertaining to patient rights, to ensure that exceptional customer service and patient care may be provided.
§ Maintain quality control for various activities with regards to customer service, product development, and patient satisfaction. Maintains employee-related databases and initiates workflows in HR system; partners with leadership to communicate HR policies, procedures, programs
§ Direct execution of operating policies to support overall practice mission and objectives. Conduct and monitor regular practice system and procedure reviews to ensure team efficiency.
§ Conduct regular meetings and sessions to establish appropriate timelines and maintain accountability levels for staff. Develop and post staff schedules.
§ Participate in market and audience development to help increase patient base. Maintain and oversee patient recall program(s). Oversee the collection and submission of data as requested or needed by accounting and the business units and/or leadership.
§ Maintain industry knowledge of practices and developments in HR Business Partnership strategy with emphasis on developments in the healthcare industry.
Demonstrates a strong bias toward service, quality and patient (customer) satisfaction. Understands who patients and potential patients are and how to meet their needs.
The HR & Operations Director will lead, coach and build relationships within the team. Must be able to direct and motivate a diverse team, as well as the ability to analyze and solve problems of varied scope. Must be able to act decisively in implementation and have strong organizational skills.
Understands how strategies and tactics work in conjunction with practice objectives. Balances data analysis with good judgment and common sense. Demonstrates strong negotiation skills.
Collaboratively addresses issues through discussion; encourages best thinking, attitude and performance in others.
