Phlebotomy Training and Support Specialist

Supervising Day-to-Day Medical Staff Services

  • Leads, develops, implements, and maintains relevant policies and procedures to ensure compliance and quality of medical staff operations
  • Responsible for all documentation relating to medical staff operations policies and standard operating procedures
  • Maintain knowledge and educates the proper procedure for the collection, processing, and shipping of specimens
  • Ensure receipt of all supplies and materials

Human Resources of Medical Staff Services

  • Establish on-boarding, training, support infrastructure
  • Maintains and updates employee records (e.g. driver’s license, car insurance, state licensure)
  • Addresses and documents personnel and performance issues
  • Fosters open/trusting work environment
  • Promotes teamwork and ongoing feedback
  • Serve as project support for all phlebotomists
  • Design and develop creative training solutions; including, but not limited to interactive instructor-led training courses, e-learning, and blended learning modules
  • Ensures medical staff personnel receive proper training and retraining, and maintain competency through regular assessment
  • Monitor individual staff performance based on feedback from patients
  • Identify technology platforms to create efficiencies in the training process
  • Assess instructional effectiveness and determine the impact of training on medical staff skills
  • Participates in the Quality Assurance Program by writing and updating department protocols, method procedures, training and competency forms
  • Adhere to procedures and protocols to ensure that the specimens and requisitions are collected in an accurate and appropriate manner with strict adherence to Sanguine’s Quality Assurance standards and Health and Safety Guidelines


  • Proven work experience as a Training Coordinator, Trainer, Training Facilitator, or similar role
  • Adequate knowledge of Learning Management Systems (LMS) and web delivery tools
  • Proven ability to complete full training cycle (assess needs, plan, develop, coordinate, monitor, and evaluate)
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Strong verbal communication skills, strong work ethic, and a positive attitude
  • Ability to build rapport with employees and vendors
  • Bachelor's Degree


  • Experience in the healthcare field
  • Professional certification (e.g. CPLP)

  • BS degree in Education, Training, HR or related field


Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 per year
