Summary of Essential Job Functions:
Strategic Responsibilities:
Develop people strategies with Plant Management to align People Operations with the 5 Pillars of Success: Safe People, Safe Food and Economic Engine
Builds and owns the Strategic Plan of the site for Attracting, Retaining, and Developing employees
Performs culture assessments. Interprets results and provide direction on developing action plans that align the Plant Teams with Core values of the Company
Creation and execution of the program for Training and Development of Plant Leaders. Program to include Leadership and Management Topics such as ARD Process and HR Compliance
Analyze, develop, and implement People Ops (HR) policies, programs, and procedures
Ensure compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements (EEO/AA, FMLA, ADA, etc.)
Own Community engagement and relations activity for the Dawson Plant
General Office Management responsibility; oversee administrative staff

Recruitment, Administrative, and Onboarding:
Actively recruit top talent to PURIS
Partner with 3rd Party Search Firm to successfully staff plant to 100% through recruitment and onboarding
Partner with the marketing team to build candidate pipelines, interact with prospective candidates and generate interest in employment, provide complete information about the company and positions, provide information on growth opportunities
Responsible for full cycle recruiting process for all open positions located in Dawson; sourcing, screen resumes, interviewing, and selection
Responsible for New Hire Onboarding: documentation, benefits education, safety training compliance etc
Coordinate onsite and community recruitment events (career fairs, promotional events, etc.)

People Operations Support:
First onsite point of contact for HR/People Operations inquires and communications
Administer/lead PURIS PROUD employee recognition and engagement programs
Oversee employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations
Maintain employee files and complete employee data; including new hire onboarding paperwork, status changes, benefits enrollment, qualifying life events, etc
Assist as needed with annual compliance and audit needs
Responsible for internal company communication regarding People Ops/HR related topics
Lead talent management efforts: talent review, compensation analysis, succession planning, and internal movement and promotion opportunities
Responsible for Workers’ Compensation claims management and return to work programs
Assist EHS team with execution and location compliance with corporate EHS policies, regulatory requirements, and engage the entire local team in safety leadership
Execute other meaningful projects related to people operations or other areas as requested

. Requirements:
Education and Experience:
Bachelors Degree in Human Resources or related field required
Certification in HR preferred (PHR, SHRM-CP)
5+ years recruiting experience, preferably within a manufacturing or related industry
5+ years human resources experience, preferably within a manufacturing or related industry
Proficient in MS Office applications including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and OneNote
Experience with Paylocity, a plus!

Ability to gather and analyze data, and implement recommendations

Excellent customer service skills and ability to build rapport with candidates, employees and leaders at all levels
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment
Ability to maintain confidentiality in daily operations

Additional Requirements:
Occasional Travel to Minneapolis and/or other Manufacturing Sites – 10-15%
