Here’s the Role:
As our multi company go-to payroll guru, you will be supporting several of our companies' Human Resources as well as provide support to our accounting department.
This role is a good fit for someone with the following qualifications and skills:
At least one year of experience as an HR generalist and with payroll and benefits administration.
Understanding of the relevant state and federal laws on taxes and unemployment
Experience with compliance issues (EEO, ERISA, IRS)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Impeccable attention to detail amid a fast-paced environment.
Experience with human resources information systems.
Experience in QuickBooks.
Here's what you can expect in your day today:
Prioritizing and delivering on bi-weekly payroll-related tasks for 50+ employees (data entry, research, and reconciliation, record maintenance, audits, state and federal filings)
Processing wage garnishments, reimbursements, and unemployment claims.
Maintaining accurate data in the HR information system, escalating issues as needed. Managing employee benefits data according to carrier requirements.
Supporting external and internal audits (benefits, EEOC, personnel records)
Initiating and managing worker's compensation claims. Managing leave requests and balances. Supporting employee performance management. Supporting recruiting and other HR initiatives as needed. Collaborating with just about everybody, including the billing department, creative designers, and all staff. Supporting the accounting department in various tasks as assigned by the Department manager.
