TRAINING
Job training for human resources specialist requires
10 weeks of Basic Combat Training and nine weeks
Advanced Individual Training with on-the-job in- structions on human resources systems. Part of this is spent in the classroom and part in the fi eld.

Some of the skills you’ll learn are:

  • Prepare or maintain human resources documents
  • Interpret and explain human resources policies and regulations

A human resources specialist performs personnel and administrative functions in support of the Soldiers’ * How to develop and implement personnel policies overall welfare and well-being while assisting leaders and procedures with keeping Soldiers combat-ready and effective. JOB DUTIES

  • Assist on all human resources support matters
  • Oversight of all strength management and strength distribution actions
  • Responsible for the readiness, health, and welfare of all Soldiers
  • Postal and personnel accountability support

REQUIREMENTS
Those who want to serve must fi rst take the Armed
Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB), a series of tests that helps you better understand your strengths and identify which Army jobs are best for you.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A minimum score of 90 in aptitude area CL ASVAB tests administered on and after 1 January 2004
  • A security eligibility of SECRET is required for the initial award and to maintain the MOS
  • Must be a U.S. citizen
